Peter O'Brien caught David Wright's final career hit...a pop up foul. Seems that his every appearance will now be greeted with boos.

I love the New York baseball crowds.

If you're a Mets fan, you need to see this timeline.

Cold rainy day. Might do some Hulu browsing, but with one of my external hard drives getting repaired, it might be time to break out the PS4 for real and start the gaming season.

David Wright Day. Kind of outside the reach of SNY for their all day coverage, but I should have access once pre game starts. No matter how much I clean my house, there seems to be dust everywhere.

@th3j35t3r yesterday when Trump was questioned about rescinding the nomination, he did leave the door open basing it on today's (and likely the subpoenaed testimonies stemming from this). Typically that's responsible. For him though, I'm not sure he opens that door without intent of actually using it.

@InvaderGzim (and how we end up at Olive Garden for the millionth time)

?

@InvaderGzim mother in law is 1000% guilty of this. What's worse is that she typically treats us, so we're all rendered defenseless.

Marriage

Me: want food tonight?

Wife: Place A would be nice (15-20 minutes away), can you Google if they do take out?

M: I've checked before...their site doesn't explicitly say either way, but Yelp says they do.

W: what about Place B (5 minutes away).

M: I'm good with that

W: I still want (plate from Place A)

M: im going out there tonight, aren't I?

W: no, it's fine. We'll do Place B.

M: *reads "it's fine"* *Eye twitch*

@SuperDuke @djmpb the other factor here that is not run support is how many runs the bullpen gave up after him.

@SuperDuke @djmpb yeah, it's brutal. If we won 75% of his games, we'd actually be in contention. Whatever. A final Wright start and a Cy Young will have to do.

Go Rockies, A's, Brewers, and Indians (why not?)

@djmpb His last appearance for the year, 25 guys in 8 innings and a pitch count near 110. I know he didn't need anything else to boost his Cy Young argument, but when you're that close and that good and the season is done...why not put a bow on it?

The part of baseball I don't understand:

The presumed NL Cy Young winner brought his ERA down to 1.70 while facing only one more than the minimum and notching his 1000th career strike out is taken out to start the 9th. We're at home and the season ends Sunday. I just don't get it.

Conforto just gave cyGrom an insurance run. He better friggin get the 9th. A complete game to finish the season would be...in a word... amazing.

AND he just notched career strike out 1000.

Watching him makes me actually enjoy our fielding half of the innings.

106 pitches through 7.2 and cyGrom still throwing high 90s. Dudes machine.

I saw something today that mentioned a potential run for president from Avennati in 2020. I'm sorry, but I'm leaning towards a hard eye roll. Why? These law suits against Trump and Kavanaugh are what has brought him into the public eye. He has earned the same response as Kanye, Iger, and Oprah.

That being said, our current president is a billionaire real estate mogul and reality TV star with an ego larger than his bank account so why not let Avennati try running?

@White_Rabbit I've actually never seen either. When the streaming service comes I might (the animation style bothers me) do a whole lot of binging/SW tv indoctrination. Would not surprise me to see it get continued there-especially if Clone Wars gets good reviews.

@White_Rabbit on a separate but similar note, Clone Wars will be returning once Disney's streaming service starts next year. I would expect Rebels to find it's way there as well.

@th3j35t3r if only I was popular enough to need a tab just for my notifications
