The woman who was shot by those subway cops in Brooklyn was not "grazed". She will have a bullet in her leg for the rest of her life & is unable to walk. She's in a rehab center, though the cops said she was "released from the hospital" (technically true, still dishonest).
This is why I never trust cop's initial reporting. 99% of the time (in my made up statistic) it's a cya story.
