Good Morning CoSoians!
I'm switching up my first morning coffee for a few cups of #greentea (Lowers cholesterol). This new ritual has the tea brewed and drank from a Chinese gaiwan tea cup.
Gaiwan Cup Meaning
The bottom symbolizes the earth; the bowl symbolizes the human being; the cover stands for the sky. Together they form the unity of man and nature under the sky (天地人和). In Chinese thought, this is the ultimate harmony and the highest objective to aim at.

#ValentinesDay has always been a special day. It was a celebration of the amazing love my parent's had for each other and the family that grew from their love. (Kid POV we got to eat out and have dessert 😍)
Cheers to my parent's on what would be their 64th wedding anniversary. Miss you ❤️😘

Prior to CoSo opening to the public we shared a morning #coffee and #conversation tradition to start our day and ended it with a Walton's style goodnight.
Our lives get busy so we (pointing at myself here) pass on the small traditions that establish and maintain a community bond, like #MorningCoffee . So, (drated ADHD) I'll be setting a morning alarm to remind me to participate on the regular.

#RIP to a good person who would go out of his way to help people, who was brilliant, down to earth, funny as hell and who deeply loved his daughter. He was a southerner who loved his spicy Louisiana food, hanging out with his good friends, learning new things and laughing at life. He was also formidable at debate and had a love of great art and literature. He took care of his elders and helped in the community. He was a good friend to CoSo, too.
For those newer to CoSo, you might've noticed we lost a beloved #cosofamily member.
I'd like the man @CorreroM to be remembered for the type of person we knew him to be. He was more than just another tragic news headline.

It's been awhile, hope y'all are well. I still have 2' of snow yet the ice dams are melting. 👍
One of my neighbors used their ginormous snow blower to clear a path to my car and out to the main road last night. I don't know who it was to thank them. #thankful
Today is an anniversary, yet not the type celebrated. My nephew, Josh, passed 3 years ago today. He was 28 and hated being insulin dependent, so he stopped taking it...then drank beer with his buddies and his light went out.
I remember the bright, happy go lucky young man who was a thrasher on a skateboard. ❤️

The Mitchell Police Department is recommending no travel in the City of Mitchell. Due to deteriorating conditions, Public Works has taken plows off the roads due to extremely poor visibility. Plows will remain off the roads until visibility improves.

It's starting off with a snow storm that's accumulating at about 1-2"/hr. Much need moisture, so I won't complain.
My wind tattered attempt at a greenhouse shows how wind speed here tears apart 6 mil greenhouse plastic. An expensive lesson learned. 🌱 (Left raised bed with remaining shade cloth intact)

I am totally behind a religious celebration where eating fried food is actually a thing.
