@1MirandaAllen Excellent film, with great acting by Rennie, and Patricia Neal was gorgeous. I have the DVD, bring it out and watch it every once in a while.

Think it’s time to stop calling IDU run countries like India β€œdemocracies”. Keeping your citizens poor and ignorant then telling them that only they can solve their problems so vote for them is in no way democratic. And it’s not just India. cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-i

@tgraph52 Anybody here capable of contacting ? I suggest that he do a Church Lady interview of Boebert.

@TwiHusband Seriously, people of Grand Junction, Durango, Aspen, et al: is Boebert the best representative you can come up with?

I'm re-watching "The Sopranos", and they played this song at the end of the last episode of season 2, the one where they killed Pussy. First time I ever heard this song. Quite a performance by Keith.

Nice to read some good news on climate change. Canada's Federal government is actually doing something.
The Off-Diesel Initiative is particularly interesting. This should be a global project.

@JMHardin We need to start sending up probes to these places. If it takes 500 years or so to get any results, so what?

@REDonaldAuthor Poilievre's promise to shut down the CBC is a sufficient reason not to vote for any Conservative.

@tgraph52 @CinnamonGirlE I've had a "Midnight Confession" ear worm for much of the last 24 hours, and I'm holding you two responsible.
td, did that drummer do a solo where he was beating his sticks on the stage floor, mike stands, and anything else he could reach? That was cool.

@tgraph52 @CinnamonGirlE I saw then around 1971, when they were pretty close to their peak. They put on a good show. However, most of their recordings were the work of the Wrecking Crew. It was Carol Kay who played the bass intro of "Midnight Confessions".
The band you saw in 1980 was a completely different group of people from the ones that had the 1967-72 hits.

@1Firewire I'll have to watch the South Park episode about the Margaritaville blenders.
