Professors Tribe and Hockett wrote a letter explaining the non-existent debt ceiling and how willfully wrong the republicans are acting.
This is all just political theater. The president should order Treasury to keep paing bills.
@KGinKS If the GQP force the issue, I think this will play out and blow up in their faces. Splat!
This is the part where I profess my hero worship of Laurence Tribe, which has gone on for the better part of my adult life.

It would be helpful if the reporters covering congress read this and started pushing back on the default talk. I'm sure that isn't dramatic enough for them though.
