Today, my Dem mom (85) had a convo with her Evangelical sister (84). Sis actually yelled at Mom, told her she was a liar about Biden win and hung up on Mom.
There always was an element of walking on eggshells with her Sis; as well as Sis pushing her religious views on the entire fam.
Today was Over The Top. Sis lost her mind over Biden Presidency.
Mom says she's not calling Sis any more. Win - Win!
@BlueWatermelon775 It's true. And sad. Sis/My Aunt has really painted herself into a corner and has isolated herself.
She has been kicked out of a couple of churches due to her outspoken preaching.
The prob is that no one has told her to stay in her lane. Religion is personal. My mom was floored at her reaction, cuz mom never does much but listen.
Today, she may have offered a fact - which her Sis adamantly rejected.
I think it'll be up to Sis to reach out now.
and it's too late to get her in any lane. yep... the ball is in sis's court
my brother is a dyed in the wool republican (which is fine)
when trumpf came into office he just went with the flow.
we don't speak politics anymore. it's not worth it. neither of us will change. everything else is fine.

Glad your mom finally figured out she and you deserved peace at last...
@InvaderGzim Yes, thanks; I encouraged Mom to shut the convo down when it goes into forbidden territory - with love.

I understand your sentiment but it's sad really. He's divided families. Life is too short as it is.
