When I first smoked pot, it was crap. Purchased at the grade school by my girlfriend's little brother. I believed that pot either made you hungry or horny, never both. And that was only the better stuff. The shitty pot just made you slightly off balance.
Today's stuff is amazing, but sometimes too much. Being stronger it lasts longer.

@Jeber Smoking or vaping for me is not a problem (I'm a bit of a chronic user) but I find you have to be careful with consumables. That makes me jumpier than a Nun in a cucumber patch.

@Chuckufarley
I'm impressed with your familiarity with nuns in cucumber patches. You must have some intriguing stories to tell about how that knowledge was obtained.
I've noticed that. I find candy edibles are the ones I don't tolerate well.

@Jeber my first was laying on the sand at a beach alongside the rest of the water polo team, all pot heads. I didn't really feel anything and joked to them what a large amount of $ they were wasting. Then I tried to stand--couldn't, and fell into hysterics. And I don't miss the seeds and stems!

@krbutler
Yeah, this shit's cleaner than the old stuff. My gawd, half of what you bought by weight or volume was sticks, stones, seeds, etc.

@Jeber yes, I've converted to edibles, which surprised me. And I'm curious about the recent increase in interest in Psilocybin and other psychedelics.

@Jeber I am a MMJ patient & agree, it's really potent now. But I'm a lightweight.
Too much THC increases my anxiety.

My doctor recommended a 1:1 THC/CBD flower combo. I dry vape in a Dynavap. For workday use, the doc has me micro-dosing 1/4 edible. If I ever feel "high", during the day, I'm doing it wrong and cut it down. It's really done wonders for me. Also the budtenders at my dispensary are helping me weed out (haha) the strains that set me off. It's a fascinating science.

@Feathered_Friend
I've always been a lightweight as well. I never smoked as much or often as my best friend. No, I'm sad to say my drug of choice was coke. I spent most of the 80s and a whole hell of a lot of money supporting that habit. I told my doctor that if a safe, non-addictive stimulant ever comes on the market, I want it. Meanwhile I stay far away from that crap.

@Jeber The 80's yeah, coke was everywhere. I indulged occasionally but avoided it for the most part. Hard drugs really wreaked havoc on so many friends with some tragic consequences 😕
