When we protested serious racism/sexism/support of global occupations through wars in '69,. We first occupied the admin building.. then we did the opposite.. we LEFT campus all together.. easy then, since there were only about 40 black students then, including the requisite athletes.. We were called by the press communist infiltrated, unteachable, and yes, racist ... but you know what? It produced results for the better which exists to this day. And we Also GRADUATED.

I had the best citizen experience this week.. a good friend graduated/induced into the county sheriffs. And the diversity was amazing here! 38 from the training academy.. white, black, latin, asian.. new citizen, old legacy family, short, tall.. ALL took the oath to the constitution. It was a good day! And the grandma's showed up in all their finery.. is this a FABULOUS country.. or what!?
