it is not that I mind, I just find it odd that in a home with two senior citizens, we have two very large refrigerator/freezers, a apartment size refrigerator/freezer in the garage, and a small refrigerator in my sister’s room.

Only one of them is new, but all of them are functioning more or less. We just had one that lost all of its functionality hauled off. I guess this is where refrigerators go to die.🤣

It’s like an appliance store. 🤣

I've never been interested in meeting famous people. But there is one person I wish I'd met: Jimmy Carter.

He's not a saint, which is good, because saints a fanatics. He's that rarest of things—a good human being.

I've long known it was only a matter of time until we lost him. That time is rapidly approaching.

He's lived a long life. A good life. Soon ending.

I wish I'd crossed paths with him once. Even in passing. Because genuinely good people are hard to find.

And so I was talking with my doctor and he wanted to check the sounds my stomach make. And I said I had Roux-en-Y surgery. It took him a couple of minutes to figure out that I have a stomach pouch and it doesn’t make noise.😅. I offered to show him the surgical scars if you wanted to take a look at it. I’ve seen him for a few years that I don’t understand why he doesn’t have it in his records. 😂 he is a really nice guy, a great allergist who goes above and beyond.

They must’ve changed the questions they ask people each year at the doctor I saw today because I don’t remember any of these and I’m sure I would have. And one of them was asking me questions about my husband’s work and I looked at her and said, I haven’t seen any of his W-2s from the other side. I don’t know what he’s doing.. The woman was horrified. But he’s been dead for many years so it’s not like I was in shock. I am marked as a widow, so I was a little confused.

Been listening to a lot of Avett Brothers recently.

The weird thing about this song "Bang Bang" is the question "Have you ever had a gun pointed directly at you? And there isn't any doubt it's ready to go" is something I've experienced.

Most people who talk about shooting people in self-defense have never been on the other end of a loaded gun. In my case it was a cop who almost took me out.
