Look at weather report: Rain in one hour.
Walk dog. 10 minutes later rain begins.
Dog believes she will melt. Sprint back to house.
Rain stops.
Check weather: Rain in one hour.
Walk dog. Halfway around the block—rain starts.
Dog insists she’s leaving wet candy footprints.
Make it to the back door, towel dog off.
Ten minutes later: rain stops.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Next time I’m putting her in a raincoat. Even though she’s not fond of them.
#firstworldproblems I'm wondering when the internet connectivity issues are going to resolve.
I just love the Abrams Brothers. One of my friends is a mermaid nut and whenever he post some thing about mermaids, I always think of this song.
#firstworldproblems The electrical storm last night wrought a certain amount of havoc on local internet access. The work of a few hours this morning took all day because my connectivity was shot a lot of the time.
That said, I completed a 1500 word submission and finally finished two book trailers during the time I could connect.
Funny how we have come to depend on internet connectivity for so much.
Not one of my best background swaps. I was looking to get rid of all the autumn leaves in the background.

Finally happened that someone opened a specialty server on mastodon that I'm interested in. Intensive Druid studies.
He's licensed clergy a few hours away from me. I may have to get one of those tools for following multiple sites since I'm interested in what he has to offer re: depth analysis of the old gods. He's got me beat in that he speaks and reads Irish. I have to read translations of the old materials.
#writingcommunity How many of you use book trailers?
Another long day. So many questions from ARC readers. I spent most of the day sorting out who needed what type of epub. A couple of them simply had to have PDFs so I had to recompile to include a print version. Had to help several figure out how to email the epub to their e-reader.
After a day that started with the coffee maker dying, that should have been a clue, right?
Stick a coffee stirrer in me. I'm done.
Keep on writing!
#law #memories Talking to a friend about law school today I flashed on when I was working at a legal clinic as an intern law student.
I was called into court and a judge told me to represent a client. I told him, "I can't do that. I'm a student." He ordered me to represent the client.
I ended up practicing law without a license. The head of the clinic was not amused. I told her I was afraid he'd cite me for contempt if I refused.
The client won, so there was that, I suppose.
#books #autobiography #law #politics Why am I just now getting around to reading “The Truths We Hold” by Kamala Harris? Excellent. Wow. Most are boring and I read them for informational purposes. Hers is vital. Highly recommended. I suppose part of it is the focus on law and my focus on law.
