The Federalist slammed SD Gov. Kristi Noem w. a takedown that referred to her as underserving to lead the Dept of Homeland Security. Joy Pullman criticized Noem for her past statement that she is scared of engaging in lawsuits on behalf of Americans. Pullman said “...anyone who is scared of lawsuits should not be part of the Trump administration, especially anyone involved in combatting illegal immigration.” “Noem is a coward who back-stabs her own party," she said.

Trump chose John Ratcliffe as his director of the CIA, who once called an 'idiot' by ex-CIA director Michael Hayden, who stated that "The head of the intelligence community should be hands off on politics. This is reprehensible!" Trump specifically picked Ratcliffe for defending the Hunter Biden laptop authenticity, which is the reason Trump gave him the job.
