So… something I have a hard time understanding (especially since I didn’t grow up in the U.S.) is exactly WHY conservatives respect simple solutions to complex problems? This idea that “if I don’t understand it, then it’s not doable” has always been strange to me. Like, I don’t understand how to perform an appendectomy, but I’d certainly trust a licensed surgeon to do it on me if I needed the procedure. #randomthought

@Dogofalltrees It would be tempting to say that simple minds can't handle nuance but, perhaps that's unfair.
