There’s two sides to Sanders. There’s the New Deal/FDR side, then the aging, naive College Communist. The latter being an irritant.
Gotta lump Television in with Phish, Talking Heads, Kinks, et al i.e bands that "I NEVER GOT." Which also means that people -- both muso and not, both that I know and do not -- have prevailed upon me in SOME WAY to BE INTERESTED IN. And yet I fail to see the appeal.
What will happen occasionally is (see Wilco, Big Star, etc) that I WILL GET IT later on down the developmental road. And that's fine, again...talk about a problem to have.

@InUnfunky The Kinks and Talking Heads produced songs worth repeat listening. There’s some there there. I think there are some bands one just has to have been introduced to at the right time of life to really love. Or as a musician appreciate the what and how of someone’s songs but not the songs themselves. A local FM station played a Little Feat concert & I listened to the whole thing for the musicianship than the songs, but I haven’t sought them out since. I got it but they didn’t get me.
Sure sure, I get the cultural import of said bands. And we all like different shit so that's okay, too.
THAT SAID -- you knew that was coming, heh...I bought the remastered "Waiting For Columbus" vinyl just for LP 1, side two. Fucking kick ass. The rest is kinda so-so...and I've never been a fan of "Dixie Chicken."
Plus, as a band that purportedly came together to support Beefheart than told him "no," well, I gotta. NTM Lowell with FZ n' all.
