@matuzalem Wow that's deep. I mean, write that down, man.
@matuzalem Every exchange with Foolin Mush gives me flashbacks to late-night freshman year symposiums in the men's dorm.
@corlin
They can't expect Israel to give up and go away; everyone knows that's not going to happen. So these are (a) performative hits to satisfy hardliners in Iranian politics; (b) probing attacks; (c) practice; (d) all of these.
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are 'I'm from the government, and I'm here to help.'" -- Ronald Reagan
"Thank God FEMA's here" -- people who voted for Reagan, both Bushes, and Trump
"I tried to warn people. Except that the warning was not well received by everyone. A person accused me of being a “climate militant,” a suggestion that I’m embellishing extreme weather threats to drive an agenda. Another simply said that my predictions were “an exaggeration.”
But it wasn’t an exaggeration."

@VylaMundi @th3j35t3r I too have this problem. Any way of parking the flag way over on the right without incurring the wrath of Google Play? We fat-fingered folks would be grateful.

@LiberalLibrarian One can argue that Israel is a settler state imposed on a country without the permission of its inhabitants. But you'd have to say the same of South Africa, Canada, the United States .... And if you argue that Palestinians, like every people, need and deserve a homeland, you can't deny the Jewish people a homeland.
@NiveusLepus Correction: the itch is not from the vaccine, it's from the band-aid that covered the injection site. My body, in its wisdom, has decided to develop a sensitivity to the adhesives used in band-aids.🙄
@NiveusLepus It can vary. I got a COVID booster and a flu shot 3 days ago and didn't feel a thing other soreness, and now a little itchiness, at the injection site. My spouse, same. But one earlier COVID Shot had us both feeling cruddy for a day or two.
Both before and after last week's shots, my more-or-less seasonal asthma ticked up a little. Maybe you've got a bit of that going on, or another of the respiratory viruses humans love to pass around.
@mcfate Quite intrusive!
@Tarnagh Agreed. It's a "fog of war" situation: if we get bad news, we know it's unreliable so we mustn't give up; if we get good news, we know it's unreliable so we have to keep fighting.
I'll be so glad when that rotten orange is finally thrown into the compost bin of history. And even then his partisans will be looking for their next Führer. I wonder if we could get Germany to send some folks over to run a denazification program like we did for them after World War II.
@Tarnagh I like that guy. Good communication skills.
Today’s the day - order your free #COVID test kits. May all your results be unambiguously negative.

@kel May the Great Somboddy within the Omniboss grant you the gift of quietly delivering a short polite phrase that reduces an idiot to a silent pile of goo.
"The top pollster also found that Americans tend to favor the Republicans on top issues, including the economy...." (from a Newsweek story, but this link goes straight to the source, Gallup.)

Good God, have people forgotten 2008?
And how is it that Gallup's report doesn't mention abortion rights? Ten states are voting on that this year (yeah, I always love it when people's rights come up for a vote).
@POOetryma Got it! Had to zoom in pretty tight, almost invisible otherwise.
