@Tattoomonkey29 They didn't warn you about Shingrix? Most people tolerate the current COVID and flu shots with nothing more than local soreness, but Shingrix is practically guaranteed to kick your butt. Far better than shingles, but no picnic.
Hmmmm... I asked my doctor & pharmacist about Shingrix and both advised me to go ahead- I've never had that vaccine before.
Went to CVS, normally they ask which shot you want on which arm...this woman was a real pro... and gave me all 3 (Shingrix, Pfizer COVID, Flu) shots in the left arm .
My arm started to feel sore a couple hours after... took 3 advil. The next day my arm was slightly sore, 3 days later- no soreness. Had no side effects from any of the shots.
@QueenOfEverything Lucky you! Maybe they've adjusted the formula -- I was warned, and made sure my calendar was clear for the next 12 hours, half of which I spent in bed.
@Tattoomonkey29 I don't think there's anything profound, just find out where @QueenOfEverything gets her Shingrix shots and get your next one there.
@ImagineThat @Tattoomonkey29
I've gotten all my shots (since COVID days) at CVS.
The one thing I noticed is that I've always had the Pfizer COVID vaccine. I've known others who had the Moderna vax and had a hard time with the flu and/or Shingrix vaccines.
If you did get a Pfizer vax or just the Shingrix by itself, and had the bad side-effects... it just must be a difference in our chemistry.
