It seems to me that, by threatening punitive taxation on a single company, in order to control its business decisions, TFG has just lost any claim he ever had to be a conservative.

If conservatism ever had any principles, they lay in the idea that the right of a business owner to make their own decisions free of government control was an essential freedom, and that the use of taxation as a tool of punishment was statist and essentially evil.

@DavidSalo As if he ever had a claim to be a conservative. He's a good example of how someone who's simply bigoted and reactionary can pass as a conservative. Maybe conservatives should ask themselves why that's so.
