HiRISE 10K: Light-Toned and Rugged
This image footprint shows us a stunning view of light-toned substrate and rocky outcrops.

HiRISE 3D: Ridges and Cracks on a Crater Floor
The objective of this observation is to examine ridges and cracks on the floor of an impact crater, with many more details than the Context Camera image.

HiPOD 21 Jul 23: Elysium Lava Plains and Craters
Unlike on Earth, there are lots of craters on this lava plain, and you might notice that some of the craters have dark interiors and a spray of darker material around them, but most don't. This difference is telling you something about the difference in age of these craters.

HiRISE 8K: On the Rim of Hale Crater
Possible clays may have been detected on the southeast rim. And the view is spectacular!

HiRISE 3D: Steeply Mesmerizing
This image footprint shows us a small part of the caldera wall that is Pavonis Mons.

HiPOD 20 Jul 23: Channel within a Valley in Northern Arabia Terra
The valley containing this channel measures 1.5 km across, while the channel itself spans just 200 m. Several rock layers are visible along the channel walls, and dunes fill the channel floor. The channel cuts back and forth across the valley floor, which suggests surface water was present in the valley over long time periods.
HiRISE 4K: Ripples within Slope Streak Beds
Recently formed slope streaks are typically darker than their surroundings and appear to fade (i.e., brighten) over time.

HiRISE 3D: From Valley to Inverted Channel
This terrain transitions from geologically older to younger, and there might have been a possible paleolake here.

HiPOD 19 Jul 23: Pitted Mounds in Acidalia Planitia
This image in the Acidalia Planitia region of Mars shows numerous round hills that have a large circular depression on their tops. These pitted mounds may be ancient mud volcanoes that formed when liquid mud erupted from underground due to shaking from a nearby Marsquake.
HiClip mini 4K: Colors of the Undiscovered Country
Nili Fossae is one of our favorite places to image, not the least of all the incredibly dense terrain here where clays have been detected. This is a non-narrated clip with ambient sound.
HiRISE 3D: Streamlined Landforms adjacent to Shalbatana Vallis
These formations show multiple levels of fluvial dissection.

HiPOD 18 Jul 23: Scarps and Pits
Some areas of Mars show a kind of selective erosion. In this image, an overlapping pit formed between one level of the surface and another. One idea is that the ground once contained significant amounts of ice in layers a few meters thick that have evaporated. Without the ice, the ground surface subsides and collapses down to a new and somewhat level surface.
HiPOD 17 Jul 23: Channels in Arabia Terra
The channels featured in this image are located in Arabia Terra. These channels were carved long ago, when water flowing down from the broad, elevated landforms to the north travelled southward across the land surface, eventually eroding the underlying rock and sediment as it approached the northern wall of Mamers Valles.
HiRISE 10K: On the Floor of Ritchey Crater
Dark slope lineae was visible in previous images, so we want to monitor and see if and how they are changing.

HiRISE 3D: Is It Mars or Jupiter?
Of course, it’s Mars. Layers in a trough in the North Polar layered deposits, to be exact.

HiPOD 14 Jul 23: Tongue-Shaped Flows and Gullies in Terra Cimmeria
Also visible in a Context Camera image, the objective of this observation is to examine tongue-shaped flows and gullies in on the west wall of an impact crater. The flows are somewhat hollowed out, like they have lost most of their ice. Is that the case here?

HiRISE 8K: A Portion of a Ridge in Northwestern Antoniadi Crater
Also visible in a Context Camera image, this observation shows a possible fluvial ridge (inverted channel) sediment exposure. It terminates to the east in a sediment fan.

HiRISE 3D: A Glacier Tongue inside an Impact Crater
There is a lot going on with this image: a crater cut by a fault, glacial fill and erosion.
