HiRISE 8K: Dust Devil Etch-A-Sketch
This “etch-a-sketch” appearance indicates the presence of dust devil activity in the Thyles Rupes region of Mars.

Monitoring Dark Dunes in Ganges Mensa
Climbing, falling and barchan dunes are visible against this canyon's wall. Monitoring this dunes could reveal inportant evidence of ripple and dune migration in such a complex topographic environment.

HiRISE 3D: An Inverted Channel in Southeast Aeolis Dorsa
Branching deposits in this area have been shown to be consistent with river deltas. Here, we would like to make similar measurements of the delta deposits in the Aeolis Dorsa region

A Cluster of Mounds in Terra Cimmeria
This observation shows a cluster of mounds exhibiting low thermal inertia relative to the surroundings. Are these (igneous/mud) volcanoes? Erosional remnants? Higher resolution may help resolve stratigraphic relationship to nearby materials. Compositional information may help constrain the dating of the origin of these mounds.

In a Southern Mid-Latitude Crater
The objective of this observation is to examine small gullies in a crater. Pictures like this will give us a better knowledge of the full range of gully sizes and shapes. Also visible in this field of view are cracks that may be forming from pits. HiRISE will be able to resolve pits in the cracks if they are there. If there are pits, it may be due to ground ice sublimating then causing the ground to collapse.
HiRISE 3D: Raised Glacier-Like Forms in Arabia Terra
Glacier-like forms are interesting due to their raised nature, showing possible previous extent of caldera ice fill. GLF also appears to have a sedimentary fan from ice build up.

Dunes or Bantha?
This group of dunes almost looks like a wandering herd of Bantha on Tattooine. Our goal with this observation is seasonal dune and frost deposition and sublimation. High resolution can provide for detailed surface measurements. These dunes are within in impact crater in the Northern Hemisphere of Mars.

This sequence of exposed stratigraphy across the three mesas in the northeastern portion of Terby Crater likely capture a diverse range of sedimentary rock types.

A Layered Plateau in Pavonis Mons
This plateau is one of the few hypothesized glaciovolcanic landforms on Mars with well-exposed areas and meter-scale and smaller structures. The large outcrops are the only ones in the plateau that face the inferred down-flow direction of the ancient glacier that left a fan-shaped deposit.

Inverted Channels near Juventae Chasma
This image shows several long, sinuous features on the plains near Juventae Chasma. These features have been explained as former stream channels now preserved in inverted relief.
Inverted relief occurs when a formerly low-lying area becomes high-standing. For instance, depressions may become filled with lava that is more resistant to erosion.

Slope Streaks in Terra Sabaea
Slope streak formation is among the few known processes currently active on Mars. While their mechanism of formation and triggering is debated, they are most commonly believed to form by downslope movement of extremely dry sand or very fine-grained dust in an almost fluidlike manner (analogous to a terrestrial snow avalanche) exposing darker underlying material.

Abounding in Megabreccia!
This image offers us unique color coverage of the beautifully exposed and sharp-edged megabreccias. Nili Fossae has long been a perennial runner-up choice for possible landing spots for exploration. Megabreccia are very large clasts of broken up rock, and the ones in this observation appear be layered and have structure.

Chaos Terrain near Hecates Tholus
The blocks/pieces here could formerly have been part of the flank of Hecates Tholus and they could have been flipped during their possibly violent creation, in which case they could be exposing parts of the volcano normally hidden. One of the big blocks targeted here displays a banding that appears to be caused by ridges.
