HiPOD 8 Aug 2022: Possible Layering in Reynolds Crater

Layering in this icy outlier near the Martian South Pole can be analyzed to assess its climate record, especially to test whether it has the same or different climate record compared to the South Polar Layered Deposits (SPLD). The SLPD are an ice-rich geologic unit larger than Texas in area, made of nearly pure water ice with only a small component of dust. Our camera can help us analyze all the layers in detail.
