As far as belief is concerned, we cannot promote it because faith is or is not present! By definition belief is a personal decision which cannot usually be changed by simple reasoning!

Part One - You sound a bit like me in the sense that we keep an open mind! But in my case I long ago decided that religion, while it has many good sides, is a human invention destined to control minds, especially juvenile and gullible ones!
I differ with you in the fact that I find critical thinking (critical is not synonym with negative) is essential to understand and navigate our reality!

No more early and hated alarm clock, no more struggling with inept school principals, no longer worrying about traffic, no kids screaming to each other, ...in other words, paradise on Earth!
Except, maybe, for creaking joints, unsteady balance, deficient hearing, taking a dozen medications morning and night, listening to the married kids' complaints, and arguing with the gardener!!

@Agatha NOPE, two dads do not a mother make during these first 3 or 4 years of a new life! Science has it confirmed and the lack of a woman makes for serious consequences!
@Krysdammit You should learn how to read properly as I never said father's love is unnecessary or harmful; the first 3 years of life must be covered by a woman AND a man, of course, if possible, but a man can NEVER replace a Mother during these crucial years!!!
