@Helveticus i should have written: "promote open-mindedness (not belief) AND critical thinking. i have promoted texts on logic, rules of evidence, and critical thinking. my degree was in literature creative writing. i approach concepts as scripts or programmes that can be accepted or rejected. the map is not the territory but it is hard to communicate with some folks except by finding common ground within their map. then loosening their own map definitions so they might integrate new info.
