I will probably make a few people mad at me for saying that I fully support the decision by SCOTUS to end affirmative action for colleges and to allow service providers to refuse service if goes against their values!

Affirmative action for universities began in 2003 and in these 20 years it certainly helped many minority candidates access higher education!

But it was time to end it and base their acceptance on academic merit rather than skin color!

May the best candidate win!😜

@Helveticus
If that is true, then force the higher education institutions to stop asking for Race/Sex on the admission form; and remove the ability for predatory loan systems for that education.
As for a business right to refuse; that should not have gone to the Courts. Even that law the person disputed had allowances for their refusal; and it has nothing to do with religion. They just wanted to be a 15min Karen.

@pendrag No it had everything to do with her beliefs in general, including religion. If I don't accept marriage between same sexes that's my right to do so and no govt will tell me what to believe!
What's next? Thought Police?

@Helveticus
Do not mistake a personal belief/religious choice, with a business choice.
The law would prevent her business from posting ‘Christian Only’ the same that a business can not post ‘whites only’ sign. However, it does not restrict her business rights to decline to provide services for any/all/no reason.
The ruling even noted the difference.
