Rocket's ears and paws are as big as Tank's. NotSoMuch the rest of him. Yet.

These days, it's really about the little things. There's no way I'd have been this excited over this 2 years ago, but 1) I'm an immigrant and 2) it took 4 damn months because of the huge backlog after the government shutdown.

I bought this collar right after Rocket was born and we chose a name. It matches Tank's and has an ACU pattern (my husband was in the Army).

Tank's official name is Gen. Ulysses S Grant. Rocket's official name is Gen. Don Carlos Buell. Both are Army generals who won the battle of Shiloh and Tank and Rocket are Shiloh Shepherds. (Yes, we are big dorks. )

Anyway, it's still a little big. I'm guessing it will fit in another month.

He got an 87.

My husband just finished his 1st year of an accelerated 2 year BS program in #cybersecurity. He's an IED intel analyst/ex mil interrogator. I convinced him he could do this, even with no IT experience. His current skillset includes identifying the source of an IED based on (social) network analysis and (sometimes) social engineering. IMO it was a perfect fit.

He currently has a 3.8 GPA, so clearly I was right :D

Rocket stalking Tank.

Rocket likes to crouch down and wait for Tank to come running in his general direction and then he launches his entire body at Tank as he runs by. He'd make a good strong safety.

Passed my Global Entry "interview", so I should be legit in 72 hours.

CBP guy saw Tank on my phone and we had a long discussion about CBP working dogs. He said they had two GSDs. CBP K9 Ginna is a drug detector dog (first pic) and CBP K9 Nicky (second pic) is a currency detector dog. Currency detector dogs are trained to sniff out money in excess of a specific quantity (seriously - for CBP that's anything over $10k)

Apparently the dog who sniffs out food is a beagle 😂

@Bemet_Or not really and he has shep ears and an akita tail which makes me think shep/akita with no chow.

@Bemet_Or This is Tank and Bryce. Bryce is my sister's dog. They thought he was an akita chow mix, but I'm guessing akita shepherd. He was starved and abused as a puppy, so he has severe food aggression and he's wary of men, but he has a huge heart and when he loves you, you know it.

Random question because I"m not sure, but it obviously crossed my mind:

If Jacob Wohl was not a white man, would he be in jail right now for the things he's done?

If we were to rename Rocket, it'd be Bear, because he looks like a little bear cub (especially when his ears were down and he was still in his pudgy puppy phase)

After 6 weeks of puppy Kindergarten where Rocket would spend most of it lounging around and moseying in your general direction as if he had all the time in the world when you called him, the puppy K instructor said, "Maybe you should rethink his name...."
