@phase2 I do the same; run leaves over. Then a bunch more fall. I run them over again. Then, and it never fails, I have little trees, not grass, growing out of the shreds.

Grass grows abundantly over my water meter and the long strips of grass near sidewalk, the sidewalk cracks, along my walls on the hill, the front yard, the sides, and is patchy only in the back. Probably dogs(but they walk & only use yard once nightly when cold weather), old torn down shed's foundation, and clayish hill🌱

I'm tired of trees, grass, & everything that you must do to maintain a yard. I wanna go live near the Atlantic Ocean, where my ❤️ is, where I grew up breathing scents of the sea.

It may not be the same now; I haven't been near a beach in years. I know I'm going to go, just no plans on when/how.

I feel the hot sun behind my closed eyelids & sand underfoot & I feel the waves crashing over me...

Oh wait! I dozed off sitting in the sun; that's the dirt w/no grass underfoot & the waterhose on🤣

@phase2 Same here; my grass was ruined by Grankids' pool last year. We reseeded & it started growing back. Extreme heat & inability to water a couple of weeks (stayed w/Daughter & newborn), caused it to start turning brown.

Been trying to water regularly in between storms; starting to grow back. More worried about 🌲; water them because leaves have fallen all summer; grrr. Raking's for fall, not summer I thought! All my neighbors are having greenery issues this year. And the ants are fierce too

Have a slinky dress on; only reason Hubs allowed me to sit on porch is because it's curtained; I can sit in my rocker unseen from the street; house is on small hill away from street.

Told him going in yard. He: "Not with that on!"
Me: Need to tan my arms some Dear"
He: "You're Black. They're tan enough."🤣

Back to sweats & tee shirt; I'll guess I'll be feminine some other time🤣

Happy Labor Day Folks! Forgot it was a holiday, woke up & had no clue what day of the week it is, only now starting my 2nd cup of ☕ (I must have 2😁), sitting on porch listening to a neighbor yelling at wife, watching a local crackhead drive up/down the street🎶 loud, tooting horn at anyone he sees, reading news someone robbed/stabbed late night somewhere in my small section of block same night someone else shot gun that morn 3🏘️ away; now another neighbor yelling on📱

Neighbors off today: UGH!

@hbgphotoguy Social media is good, but has taken away🤔🤔hmm.... real life social/socializing skills! The younger generations (I'm not totally senior citizen, just getting there😅) are glued to their phones!

Me to adult kids "Let's go see a play"

Them: "Why? We can watch it on YouTube & don't have to dress up" 😵

I'll just sit in my corner watching Jerry Lewis

@hbgphotoguy Always!❤️ Nothing else was allowed on our TV, and, as kids, we were always excited watching the numbers go up; he was a hero to us; he knew how to get lots of folks to donate lots of money!
