Fact: 2020 is making me understand the minds of those with mental disorders.
I don't state that lightly; my husband is Schizoaffective w/Bipolar Manic Depressive type, w/PTSD.
I think I am slipping, at times, into moods along with him instead of hoisting him out. This year's been tiring trying to keep his mind healthy & mine from drowning in thoughts of uncertainty. He really misses the Grandkids, as do I.
One day! Until then, call me Boomer, but this newfangled see-ums calling'll do👵🏽🤣
@Gramdma2011 it's a rough year for sure.
make sure to take good care of yourself; you gotta put your own oxygen mask on before helping others, after all. :)
@evistre 😁Speaking of oxygen; my brother left a plug-up full oxygen making machine here when he moved last year. A little blessing in disguise if hubs or I ever get sick enough to need it. 🤔Or anyone who otherwise would suffer & need one.
Thought of using it on hubs when he's stressed; might help him refocus. Not sure though. Just know I have a valuable medical tool to use if/when needed.
@Gramdma2011 wow - that is a handy thing to have around right now!
you might check in with his doctor to see if that would help :)
@Gramdma2011 ❤️ Living with someone who has a mental illness is very hard. 💪🏼 Stay strong.
@Shelleyaw123 @Gramdma2011 indeed ❤️
@Shelleyaw123 Thank you🌹
@Gramdma2011 I’m really glad you’re reaching out on this. Please seek out your own support group. Also, I’ve long suspected that mental illness(especially as a caretaker) can be contagious. So if you need help please get help. 💕
