On Saturday I read an article about a woman who was swept away in a Grand Canyon flash flood. Her picture hit me like a brick. For some reason she looked -extremely- familiar to me. Even the tattoos. It was, and still is, haunting. Bizarre. The brain is odd, isn't it?

I'm not happy with the the DNC decision to closet trans people for this convention. Logically I completely understand the move. I do know that a Harris-Walz administration will be good to all #LGBTQ people. But I am still disappointed we were put back in our closets until after November 5th.

I saw some say that Kamala's DNC speech wasn't very good and that they didn't feel enthused or excited. So I re-listened.

Her speech wasn't from the pulpit. It didn't fire you up. It wasn't meant to.

This was a speech of solidarity, unification, and stability. It patiently showed why she is what is needed right now - structure and focus. It was calm reassurance that the upheaval is behind us and we can focus on what's ahead.

It was strength and patient determination. Exactly what was needed.

Was diverted and spent all the spoons.

Planning dinner based on what we have. Chicken, onion, celery, carrot, nectarine. Yep. There's a stir fry in there.
