So i just slipped and fell all the way down to the bottom of the basement stairs. I slipped on an upper step which means that I landed *hard* on every single step. I hit my back, my hip, my elbow, my wrist, and I did something to my knee while lying at the bottom of the steps, trying not to pass out. Guess my leg was twisted at a funny angle while I lay there. At least I didn't hit my head.

The fucked up thing was it felt like slow motion while it happened, even tho i couldn't stop falling, I felt every step, ouch, ouch, how many fucking steps are there? The answer is 13, btw, and I hit almost all of them. That was an hour ago and it still hurts. Thankfully, my wife and son were home and they both helped a lot. But fucking OW!

I'm really lucky that nothing is broken. I just had to sit there for about 10 minutes until it stopped hurting enough that I could move around again. I definitely saw stars and passed out for a moment

@GlennS Oh man, that's rough! I'm glad that it wasn't more serious and that you had help, though. Best wishes for a quick recovery. 🤞

@Ironworker229 i think i got lucky overall. I ache, but it could've been a lot worse

@GlennS For sure. All that clean livin' is paying off!

@Ironworker229 better, thanks. Still stiff and achy but trending the right direction. Took a few days off from work. Back to it on Wed

@GlennS I'm glad to hear it. Sometimes the day after can reveal something that's worse than it seemed at first.👍

@Ironworker229 Most of what hurt is better, just my hip, elbow and dignity are still paining me

@GlennS Speaking as a fellow man of a certain age, I'd say you did quite well coming through with just being a bit banged up and nothing too serious. I think your dignity should heal up quite nicely!
