Because of rightwing commentators and donald trump, there are people who believe that if they register with FEMA and receive any funds from them, if they don’t pay it back, FEMA will take their homes.
THIS IS NOT TRUE.
Lies by right wing commentators and donald trump are hurting people who need the help after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Those affected by the hurricanes need to register with FEMA in order to receive help with their losses. FEMA is not there to confiscate their homes.
