So now that Thanksgiving is in the rear view mirror, it's time to start playing some Christmas music on the station. I'm wondering how long it will take me to turn into Scrooge.

And no, I will NOT be playing Wham's "Last Christmas". My show is a Whamaggedon-free zone.

I've always wondered where Wile E. Coyote got all the money he used to buy all that stuff from ACME. And how come none of us ever found that ACME catalog he was obviously using...I mean, seriously, I would still love to have a giant catapult in my front yard.

Apparently office thermostats only have two settings: hell fire and hypothermia.

Good morning and welcome to Cyber Monday, which is just like every other day except with more annoying online ads.

At least I have coffee. ☕️😎

Can someone please explain why anyone would ever think this was a good idea?

And if anyone wants to listen in this morning, my show streams live at big1069.com/player/

Interesting morning at the old radio ranch today, as I'm the only one who felt like doing a live show this morning. Even my traffic guy is taking the day off, so I'm doing the ultimate solo show.

On the flip side, it means I can turn up the studio speakers as loud as I want and not annoy anyone else in the building. 😎

Oh, and lest I forget, there’s also pumpkin pie encrusted with candied walnuts. 😁

This is what happens when I watch way too many episodes of the Great British Baking Show and Beat Bobby Flay. 😎

This year for Thanksgiving, I continue my trend of non-traditional feasting: a puff pastry seafood pie alongside Kalamata olive bread and a leaf lettuce salad topped with apples and candied walnuts.

The pie had cod, lobster, scallops, asparagus, yellow potatoes, a sauté of carrots, celery, shallots, and mushrooms, all baked with a vanilla-bean based roux seasoned with nutmeg, cardamom and dill, and topped with a rough puff pastry.

The end result may be a bit messy, but boy did it taste good.

Just remember that is a time for family, food, friendship, and football.

Every year my wife and I have a tongue-in-cheek argument over whether pumpkin pie is a legit breakfast food. She says yes, I say no.

But apparently the Pop Tart folks are now siding with my wife.

This week on We Try Wednesday, Keely and I try some Lake Champlain Chocolate fruit & nut and caramel bars.

The sacrifices I make for entertainment... 😁

Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

A: Pumpkin pi, of course.

How come sporks are only available in plastic? Shouldn't they be part of the nice silverware set (along with the 20 other utensils that no one ever uses or even has a use for)?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and here in Tennessee the weather is finally changing to make it feel like autumn. So to celebrate the change of seasons, I decided to go with a more subdued floral print today. 😎
