Am I remembering rightly that the song was nearly banned and Eddie changed the lyrics to prevent it?
@stueytheround I hadn't heard that. I do know that like all other Grant songs, "Electric Avenue" is not available on music streaming platforms because of his dislike of how the platforms pay artists.

If I'm remembering rightly he changed the line "Deep in my heart I abhor ya" to "Deep in my heart I'm a warrior". There are versions out there with both lyrics but the latter was the version released in the UK as a single because the BBC refused to play the original words. I seem to recall Eddie being a bit pissed off about it.
