On this #Trans Day of Visibility
I wish I knew more Trans people in my life so I could tell them I appreciated them and they are loved for who they choose to be, and wanting to be happy.
I see you, and wish for a better world for you where you are safe and loved
Tried to off himself last night. I put him on the back of the couch, grabbed a drink, came back & as I sat down & went to grab him, he flung himself off the couch. Landed flat on his back, knocking the wind out of himself. He was turning black, gasping for air. I was panicking, thinking I was losing him, begging him not to die. It was traumatic. Thankfully, he's absolutely fine. We had a talk about not doing that shit again. My heart can't take it! So glad he's ok💜
A few #TDOV fits from after I got back from the march I led. (Those pictures I can link later or you can find me on Meta where other people are posting them.)
Blind people can hear and feel April’s total solar eclipse with new technology
Sound and touch devices will be available at public gatherings on April 8, when a total solar eclipse crosses North America, the moon blotting out the sun for a few minutes.
“Eclipses are very beautiful things, and everyone should be able to experience it once in their lifetime,” said Yuki Hatch, a high school senior in Austin, Texas.

@Gambit_1 @SFAstroStone Thank you buddy!
@Gambit_1 It's nice to be around people because you make each other happy, instead of feeling like you have to do it. It's nice doing things because you _want_ to do them!
🖤
I feel closest to grace when there's people who are around me because they _want_ to be, and I love to be that for them also.
@Alfred why do time zones follow lines of longitude instead of the lines created by sunrise and sunset?
@Gambit_1
Yes, it really does. There were many sacrifices made to be able to enjoy that rare treat to eat at a restaurant. And, that came only after years and years of not doing so.
My brother and I on Easter Sunday a very long time ago. Hand me down clothes for the both of us. Skirt straight pinned at the hem because it was worn again as I grew to get the most use out of clothes. New clothes were a luxury they couldn't afford.
And another picture taken with my parents years later with the first new dress I can remember.
It was common to dress up for the holiday, quite a treat from overalls and farm clothes, the usual daily attire.
Remembering these days fondly. 💜
