This WNBA and human rights fan is very happy to learn that Brittney Griner will be home for the holidays.
I am absolutely loving Margaret Atwood's new Substack newsletter. That is all.

One of my fellow Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) members just wrote an inspiring article on Ukrainian nonviolent resistance to the Russian invasion. Let me clarify that in highlighting the role of nonviolence (by sharing this article), I'm not criticizing Ukraine's military defense. But other forms of resistance are also an important part of the story, lest we have an imbalanced understanding of how people fight for their freedom.

@DavidKMresists Nice speculative haibun!
@Jakki Thanks! Sadly, it got the worst of a windstorm a while back. Someday, though, I will find an equally fun replacement.
@MariaAragon64 That's great! My fiction is mainly short stories, especially fairy tales. I haven't attempted a novel, yet.
It's my first time trying out this platform. I'll see if I can convince some other people I know to join me here. I'm taking a break from another social media platform. (You can probably guess which one.) I wear various hats: poet, fantasy writer, English lecturer, magazine editor. I'm working on a book that bridges peace studies and creative writing.
