@GrandmaJ The dogs have free run of the yard. The doggie door is always open. I won't actively point out the bunny to the dogs, but if they see him when I'm not around... A few months into COVID, I was on a zoom call for work when they killed a bunny and brought it into the house through the doggie door and proceeded to start demolishing it. The doggos were so proud of themselves. The SO was screaming because dead things and fur were in the house. Thankfully I was on mute for my call. #doggoals
@GrandmaJ I had no doubt. The tomato bed has the easiest access. The others are a bit harder. I'm worried the dogs will go after him. He has no fear...
@Oma_Trisha lol maybe I should have done a closer inspection of the greenhouse 😮 🤨
@Oma_Trisha I just hope he doesn't invite his friends and family over.
@Oma_Trisha 😂 apparently I planted those fruits and veggies just for him. I just didn't know it at the time.
Someone decided to take a stroll through the tomatoes, stop for a little nibble on the strawberries, and then go hang out in the green house. #truoblemaker #gardening
Holy moly....how is it Thursday already? I have so much work that still needs to get done this week. I'm going to have to schedule myself some all day meetings so people leave me alone long enough for me to get something done :/ #morecoffee #stopcallingme
@Elinkster @misslovelymess Second booster was also my toughest, but after two days of arm pain I was good to go - Pfizer.
@yogapaddlerun I am very nearsighted. Now I'm combining that with needing reading glasses...I'm wearing glasses over my contacts. *sigh* getting old
NC Primary results are in and I have to laugh just a little bit. Weight loss continues; hopefully I can keep this up all the way to my physical in June (and beyond of course). Wednesdays are NC COVID stats publication day. The garden is coming along nicely. The zinnias in my wishing well planter have sprouted! Only two work meetings today. Today is going to be a great day :) Except for my coworker whose son is both teething and he has the flu...poor momma isn't getting ANY sleep any time soon.
@yogapaddlerun I've been wearing them for 25 years. It's going to take you awhile to get used to putting your fingers in your eye. Relax. Focus your eye on something beyond your finger. Make sure your hands are clean. Be careful what you touch before putting your contacts in. Even with clean hands, I've had numerous stinging eye incidents. The older I get the more eyedrops I need. Do NOT sleep in them. If you accidentally sleep in them, don't peel them off immediately after waking up.
@cassandra17lina How did I not know they made a Cream of Rice? I love Cream of Wheat but gave it up when we went gluten free. Thank you for this!
My brain is focused on everything but work today, but that doesn't change the submittal deadlines. #morecoffee
@GrandmaJ I grew up with large sprawling garden beds. I'm slowly adjusting to raised bed gardening, but it definitely takes some careful planning of what I want, when it needs to be planted, and how to lay out each bed. I'm still learning and each season is educational. Raised bed gardening reminds me of when my mom was into something called square foot gardening.
Here we go...another work week begins. Started the morning early because Doggo 1 wet the bed. It's not her fault, she is taking a lot of prednisone and it causes her to drink a lot. The weekend was great. Got a lot of gardening done. Finished book 2 of the Wheel of Time series and liked it much better than the first. Relaxed. I actually feel somewhat refreshed. Coffee is going in. Time to see what Monday has to bring. We've got this! #gardenhaul #backyardfarm
@XanHart I've never dealt with moles, but I can tell you that voles are also demon spawn. They obliterated our yard last year with their tunnels. If I see even one of those little MF'rs...I'm prepping for all out war. Nothing on the game cam last night. I'll keep monitoring.
@Helical_Code Coffee is in. Dog is bathed. Run is done. Weather is gorgeous. Going to be a fabulous day! I hope your day is equally wonderful :)
@Helical_Code good morning!
@GrandmaJ Fresh tomatoes are my favorite. I'm going to have a hard time saving some to can because I can eat several fresh tomatoes per day (that acidity is not great for my stomach, but YUM!!). I put in a couple of extra tomato plants this year so hopefully I have enough to eat and to can. Also, we are very fortunate to have a lot of sun in our back yard. I've spent most of my adult life living in apartments; The thing I missed the most was having a garden. Balcony container gardening is hard.
I need more coffee
