Garland is up.

The "ornaments" are an Advent calendar of seed packets. I haven't done an Advent calendar since I was a kid. This is the sort of thing Spouse would have surprised me with when he was alive. Now that he's gone, I'm learning to give these things to myself.

The plan is to open one a day and replace it with an ornament, but idk if I'll make it. Still, this time last year I couldn't do stepladders at all - my family did this for me. Progress.

@Florence She was actually a tiny bit put out by it. She's a little glare in the picture. (Sadly, she's no longer with us.) But I'll see what I can dig up.

@Florence But such a worthy one, right? If I can ever find it (it's way back in my photo files) I have a picture of my disabled therapy chicken wearing her red hat. It even attached under her little chicken chin. 💓

And her’s our Pyr mix, Oberon. He’s living his best life, which as a rescue, means dry paws, plenty of food & no one is going to hit him. He’s what would happen if a waterbed became a dog: all warm & jiggly. (That 2nd pic is them working on laying down a bit of hair on the bed. It’s apparently their job.)
