I sometimes think reason some of the big accounts from the bird don't do well here is that they don't realise we are all capable of reading the news, sourcing information and deciding for ourselves what to think. We don't need anyone to 'lead' us to thinking anything!
They're so used to being literally 'followed' (in a pied piper kind of way) that they forgot how to interact at all. They just want to teach us something, like some kind of weird, one-sided oracle.

Look, I totally understand the owners/admin of social media can run their sites as they see fit, and yes, that includes prohibiting certain users and content. However, when you claim to be a “free speech absolutist” and that even your harshest critics are welcome on your platform only to turn around and go on a banning spree, that just shows you’re a flaming hypocrite and a pouty child.
