The Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine has opened up public comment on the proposed rule to prohibit gender-affirming care to minors. Comment can be submitted until December 5, 2022.

The proposed rule will:

-prohibit gender-affirming care for minors (puberty blockers, hormones, hormone antagonists)
-minors already receiving care will be able to continue receiving care
-surgical procedures that alter primary or secondary sex characteristics will be prohibited for minors
