@Florence I know there are definitely criticisms. I wish society would keep a sharper more critical eye on the uber wealthy. They don’t usually have our best interests in mind. When they do, they often demand we follow whatever kooky whims they want to chase.

My partner found my old tamagochi.
I warned him about it.

He put batteries in it.
I told him not to.

He gave it to our kid.
Now they are all upset.

She's confused because it's not a touch screen, partner is upset because it won't stop beeping and tamagochi is upset that nobody is cleaning up it's poop. 😵

Same here in the mountains of western NC. My friend and I sitting at her patio table one afternoon. We looked up and huge male was passing right next to the fence on his way to a creek across the street. When they rented the house they wondered why it had 8’ chain link fence. It was a regular bear 🐻 route.

@Florence She was a bantam, but much smaller, mostly unable to walk. And the sweetest chicken ever. Frail but loving & loyal. Excellent in the therapy office. (In the 1st pic she’s asleep next to her sister, TJ.)

I have no idea if any of them will sprout, but that's half the fun.

Also, I'm weirdly proud of this.

The brass thing on the plate under the greenery is my family's Advent candleholder/wreath. It's about 70 years old currently.

It used to have rubber gasket things to hold the candles, but when those finally deteriorated, my grandmother decided it no longer "worked." So I took it.

Every year she is astonished I can put candles in it, and every year I'm amused she is astonished. You've been Catholic for 90 years, Nana. How do you not know how hot wax works?! 😆
