@Florence It takes a lot out of me to socialize, especially since becoming more disabled. I just don't have the energy. Socializing is a lot more energy-intensive than I realized.

@Florence I'm mildly autistic myself and agree in part. Keep in mind though that those crazy people are much "louder" and thus draw attention more easily. Don't let them trick you into thinking they are the norm.

@Florence It absolutely does make sense. People who aren't totally cool in their own company often don't understand those who are. Like those waitresses who feel sorry for you when you bring a book to the restaurant. I'm living my best life - bring my food and skedaddle! LOL

@Florence I find that having my quiet time is almost as necessary for me as breathing. Mom is quite the opposite. She gets JAZZED having people around. I'm hoping she naps a lot. ;-)

I'm an introverted aspie. Mom is coming home from acute care rehab tomorrow after breaking her ankle so bad they had to reassemble it. I'm going to do my very, very best, but she is an extrovert and I see the car crash of caregiver fatigue on the horizon. Pray for me. 😜 😭 🤓
