Well, good morning and sayonara, I've effed off my morning successfully, now must go find a task or two to finish, there's lots on the list...probably finish the last half dozen tiles in the new shower...it's been more than a year I think. Hey, if it works...

That may lead into a balcony roof repair later this afternoon - need to roll out some new roofing.

It is up and running, I tested it with a question earlier today 
He just wants a login so he can keep nefarious types out if necessary, given the nature of the website that's understandable. 

FYI - I just heard this on the Progress channel on Sirius XM - they (Joe Sudbay substitute hosting on one of the shows, as he often does) interviewed a guy that just built a new AI based website that he trained an LLM AI by sucking in all the 900+ pages of the project 2025 info and other legal info to produce Project2025wtf.com

Off to osteopath to see what's fubar with my right thumb/wrist. I overworked it a couple of months ago and it's never gotten better. PA looked at X-rays that didn't show much. Hoping this specialist has some more detailed analysis. I really can't use it for any but the lightest work, and that's not gonna fly.

Why do airports insist on having arms on all their benches. Are you really trying to keep you from sleeping in the middle of the night on a 4 hr layover? It's not like we're the homeless off the street. We have tickets and baggage and came through security. /sigh #travel

Morning all. Yesterday afternoon I got a shovel and cleaned the gutter because it was just a mosquito infested swamp in front of my house. And two doors down.

I put it out on the edge of the road.

This morning, city crew here to pick it up and weedwack some nearby stuff.

I had talked with my neighbor the lawyer and said if he knew people at the city to give them a call to have them come clean it up. I think he did.

If I do the math right, 180,000 homeless in CA. Newsom has 24 billion to deal with the problem.
$50k/person =$ 9B. $50k is a commonly cited # for per person homeless costs to local/state for services, medical, law enforcement, etc.

Housing 180k persons for 3yrs, I'm pretty sure cuts your problem way down.

Newsom’s office touts that it’s dedicated $24 billion to addressing the housing crisis and “helped lift more than 165,000 people out of homelessness and into interim or permanent housing.”

Coffee time is finished. Off to wire in power and comms to my new mini-split outside unit. Inside is hung and ready. I'll connect tubing, then have to find an HVAC guy or buy/rent a vacuum pump and gauges to evacuate the lines before I can start it up. I've got calls in to two HVAC people, but no response. Have another to contact, but after that I just go by the gear and do it myself -- that's how I've learned to do everything. ❄️❄️❄️
