@misslovelymess that's pretty cool! I've got coral honey suckle going & a native grape vine going this year...my "Gardening Angels" put up trellis on my porch-hoping to cover that in a year or two!
@misslovelymess You are a brave soul! I've got wisteria climbing the trees behind my back yard. It smells SO good when it blooms, but it is crazy invasive & I have to pluck it out or mow it down regularly in the back yard.
@misslovelymess I've seen ppl pot it up & grow it up a trellis. I'm sure it'll be gorgeous! How long does it bloom in your area? Here, Norfolk, VA, it only seems to bloom for about a week...I love it while it's here, but it goes so fast.
@FayreLylith I honestly don't know. I've never grown it before and I'm not sure if it will grow well here. I wanted to give it a try.
@FayreLylith Our lilac bush blooms for like a week, so probably that long.
@misslovelymess I would love to have a lilac bush. I'm working on creating a food forest in my back yard. I've got an overstory with my curly willow Oak, an understory with elderberries/hazelnut/paw paw, and still working on the ground level stuff-but have blueberries, strawberries, & a lot of herbs at the moment.
@misslovelymess I suspect it will grow really well-they're hardy little vines!
@FayreLylith Iβm going to try to keep it contained to this side of my porch. Aggressively pruning.
