Did you know that the Second Amendment has a link to the 3/5ths clause and slavery, or that militia was another name for slave patrol?

The 3/5 clause and 2A were included to entice the southern states to sign on to the Constitution. Southern states were worried that with the fed gov controlling the army, abolitionists would prevent the army from responding to a slave revolt. 2A ensured they'd be able to suppress slaves' quest for freedom.
