Steve Scalise seems to be comparing 9/11 to gun violence and states that we didn't ban planes after they were used to kill thousands of people.

Steve Scalise is not a serious person and insults the intelligence of anyone with ears.

Insincere apologists for the violence against American democracy on January 6, 2021, keep referring to acts of violence that occurred in connection with various protests in summer 2020, provoked by the murder of George Floyd, though they actually dealt with a much broader spectrum of issues than just that case.

These are not comparable.

For one thing, the BLM protests were a very broad-based, grassroots movement that took place in hundreds of locations across the United States.
