My spouse's father died suddenly and unexpectedly right after we got back from a vacation. Between that and my mom's health issues, this has been a very challenging year. I don't really want this account to be a wellspring of sadness so I haven't posted in a while but I do miss you guys.

The new Tolkien adaptation is not good b/c the pacing sucks and there's way too much exposition but the critiques ppl actually have are like "elves can't be black" and "that actress doesn't exactly fit my beauty standards". Real bad look for the LoTR nerds.
