I got to see one of the first legal grow operations in NY and hear farmers talk about the regulatory regime. It's a mess of course, super chaotic rollout.
@Expecting_Words hopefully they get it together unlike their CA counterparts whose overburdened regulatory system has caused them to raid legal grows and allowed a thriving gray market.

@Smersh for the consumer its a pretty fantastic time in NYC since the entire market is grey but it's so huge that the cops only bust ppl for really egregious behavior like selling out of a converted school bus.
It's less great for farmers though cause licenses only became available very recently to a small group of ppl (producers of cbd and industrial hemp for a certain number of consecutive years, iirc 3).
