First coat of paint is done on half the bathroom (the toilet/tub is separate from the sink). That's all I have in me today. It's DEFITNLEY going to need another coat, but I'm happy I've gotten it started. Hopefully I can get it all done before Hubbs comes home....But seeing as I'm unsure when that is (Tues? Wed?), I'm not holding my breath. Lol

Hubbs is still OOT, so I think I will start painting the bathroom today...

I paid an extra $25 for my grocery delivery today, but from the time I ordered to the time I showed up, was like 20 minutes. I went back into the app and gave the guy a $20 tip, cause it was so quick! Totally worth it to me!

I've been getting projects done, while the Hubbs is OOT. One I've been wanting to do is swap out the hardware on the front door......

Then I realized that changing the locks while he's OOT might not send the best message...lmao 🙃

I did a heckin mow today. Mower was runnin REAL rough though....Wasn't sure if it was gonna finish the job.

I need to do a heckin weed wackin, but I am incapable of operating the weed wacker, so it must wait for the Hubbs to get back home.

Yesterday my 18 year old son asked his sister "What are you yappin' about?!" in reference to who had what chore, and it made me think of my Dad, who ALWAYS said "Yappin" when someone was going on about something....

I don't think my son knew that, or realizes it, but oof. Hit me right in the heart, and I'm still thinking about it today. lol

I finished up the front garden bed and planted my seeds in my garden. And by "planted" I mean I just kinda sprinkled seeds haphazardly, watered and will hope for the best. Lmao

I've finally found the right green for the bathroom, and now I really want to get it painted while Hubbs is OOT, but that would mean breaking my self imposed Hermit status and going to Lowes. I *COULD* order it all and then just pick it up....Still breaking my Hermit Oath though, but it'd feel really great to get that painting done....

Front flower bed is weeded! Didn't plant the clematis, as I need to replace string with wire mesh, but I don't have any that I'm able to cut (hands don't work right). So, it'll have to wait a bit.

Seeds will be planted tomorrow. I'm pooped. lol

I've hung three towel racks in bathrooms this morning! Ate food, washed dishes, now I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit outside, then I plan on attacking the front flower bed with my spade! Maybe I'll get some seeds planted today too.....

My daughter raided my closet this morning!! She never does, cause our styles are vastly different, but she needed something a little nicer to wear today, cause she has a job interview.

I used a power drill today, to hang a....thingy..in the closet to hold my broom, swiffer and steam mop. I didn't hurt myself in the process, so that is a win!

This is after I've asked the hubbs to do it, multiple times, and it sat on the kitchen island for months...If I try and do it while he's here, I get "Why are you doing that?! I said I'd do it!" Yeah, but I don't expect to live long enough to see Hell freeze over, so... 😂

Day 1 of my self imposed Hermit-ness, and I am already thinking about going to Tractor Supply. lol

My goal, for the next 10 days while Hubbs is gone, is to not leave the house, except to take the kids to/from school.

I've plenty to do here...Weeding, planting, cleaning, cooking. Reading, video games, watching shows. If I need groceries, I'll get em delivered.
I love being a lil hermit. lol

Went to Lowes with my daughter this morning, for a gallon of paint.....

$180 later we have paint, painting supplies, bird seed and a new Clematis to add to the front garden.

Hubbs leaves for South Korea on Sunday. For 10 days.

I'm nervous about it. He's excited.

It'll be the longest we've been apart in the 21 years we've been together. 😕

I finished "American Beauty" by Shana Abe last night. I guess it's loosely based on a real person, which I didn't realize going in.

It was alright. Kind of a Rags to Riches story that starts in 1865ish.

Neither one of them has a drivers license. They have been through driver's ed, they COULD get them, they don't want to. My son (18) is scared to drive, my daughter(17) says she's "too busy" to study for the test. Yet, they still want social lives, but expect my hubbs and I to give them rides.

I am done. You want a social life? Get your license. They have 2 cars sitting in the driveway they could drive! They can take mine too! SMH
