@northernbassist @jurban Had to look up that instrument to figure out whether it leant itself well to "Stairway to Heaven" or not. I suppose with a skilled player that it could. Did you enjoy the music or did it ruin a "quiet, perfect night"? 🙂
@jurban That's a lovely photo/view. Hope we can visit Greece once hubby retires in 2 years. We both loved Rome when we visited there a few years ago, seeing so many ancient ruins right next to more modern-day buildings really gave us such a feeling of historical awe, am sure we'd enjoy Greece for similar reasons. Also want to visit Ireland & Scotland for the castles (& to look up relatives my dad found on his trip there in 77). Greece certainly has the better climate of those 3 countries!

@LiberalLibrarian Yeah. I love when they interview him on some of the shows I watch. He's very much about the common man and common sense and has an excellent sense of humor.
@Jeber @Polterbyte Not until they vote to ban abortion nationwide, end SSI and Medicare, and allow Repugnican state legislatures to override/ignore the votes of the people though. They have their priorities yanno 🤬 I fervently hope that Americans understand that the GQP isn't just saber rattling with those platform issues and cuts them off at the knees in November, if not we're screwed.

@Sinclair4500 @Jeber Heh. I started a group on a platform I was on called "I hope my mortician is a necrophiliac" so am pretty sure I can take whatever you can dish. Funny thing about that group was how many morticians joined it, there are definitely a *lot* of morticians with über dark senses of humor (and possibly more necrophiliacs in their midst than I care to think about)!

@keithrussell42 Apparently the XPS 15 even with the core I7 runs consistently at 100° celsius so it's not just the I9. This according to a review done on it by the Verge back in March that they went with the I7 vs the I9.

@keithrussell42 I love my Dell Inspiron 17". Has a core I7 processor, an nVidia graphics card (in addition to the on board graphics), HDR/4K display with touchscreen capability, 256 GB SSD, 2 TB sata drive, and 64GB of ram. It's a beast!! Battery life could be better but since it's essentially a desktop replacement that's rarely an issue. Hubby bought it for me 2 years ago from a Dell reseller on Amazon that customizes it to your required specs.
So I was skimming the pool at about 3 am two nights ago (we've been doing a SLAM for black algae for about 3 weeks now and I suffer from insomnia so it seemed like a good time for it) and scooped out what I thought was a big leaf. The leaf was only halfway into the net so I went to tip it all the way in...then it stood up and shook out its wings 😳 It was huge and I'd never seen this bug before. Turns out we don't usually get these here, rescued 2. #katydid #insects
