Seems the party of 'we lost OMG election fraud' are quite busy this year with (checks notes) committing election fraud. 2 Drop Ballot Drop boxes on fire, PA found a huge number of voter registrations and ballots returns from people who never resistered. Amazing #'s of nursing home patients are submitting ballots that they have never seen. This election we do have fraud but its by those who whine about it. We still have a super power they don't - VOTES in #'s to big to ignore #politics #voteblue
The fake voter registrations are less likely orchestrated by parties. They pay unemployed people to collect registrations, and a couple slackers will just fill out forms to get easy money without actually finding people to register.
It's a pain for people doing GOTV on election day. I was sent at 6 pm on an election day to find out why zero voters from one block had voted. It turned out to be a block of sealed abandoned homes. My time could have been spent better elsewhere.
Once the registrations are filled out, it's illegal for the organizers to discard any. That fact was exploited by James O'Keefe when he made a film accusing a liberal community organizing group of committing fraud. They had given homeless people jobs to sign up voters,. Some worked, but some slacked. It was fairly obvious which applications were fake, but the group had to turn them all in. They segregated the suspicious ones and alerted the voter registration board of it.
If organizers of a voter registration drive were allowed to discard applications they thought or claimed to believe were fake, then they could throw out any for the opposite party, making people think they were registered when they weren't.
@EileenKCarpenter I know #Muskrat was hiring lots to go out and door knock to register voters and there was a tiktok video that went viral on how to make money sitting at Starbucks spoofing your GPS to look like you were canvasing when you weren't.
