Things are so discouraging these days. I can't even get people to advertise their book for free on a website I designed and pay for to help other Indie authors. I am gobsmacked, but I'm too stubborn and stupid to give up.
@EdgeOErin I went through that disappointment a few years back. I'm sorry you're dealing with it, too.
I'm not sure what it is that makes authors so afraid any more to collaborate with one another, instead of waiting for faceless organizations to bless them with their algorithm enough to get a couple page views.
@AskTheDevil I'm not sure if it's rooted in insecurity, laziness, or a reluctance to cooperate. Regardless, it does bum me out.
@EdgeOErin I think people have successfully been trained that the internet means only giant, well-funded, impersonal sites that demand all traffic flow through them.
It's like they can't _believe_ in the internet being made of people any more.
@AskTheDevil Good point(s).
@EdgeOErin tried to click the link in your bio but it isn't active. Could that be an issue? This is the first I've heard of your site.
@EdgeOErin I'm sorry. It's hard for people to focus on other things. I will check out your site listed on your profile.
