WRITING TIP No 41

The reason why writers are told to read in and out of the genre they're writing in is so that the writer is exposed to lots of different voices and demonstrations of how to use language to shape images and evoke emotion.

Also, reading is pretty fucking awesome.

School districts need to be put back in their rightful place and stop politicizing education. Schools are meant to neutral. They are meant to be supporting student learning. They are meant to teach students how to properly conduct themselves. This school district is out of line and needs to be put back into place.
