As with most things, the issue of AI in music is more nuanced than Manichaean.
I'm working on tracks for a nice bunch of guys who recorded their songs all week but discovered that, somehow, every single track has a slight hiss that sums up to sound like a rainforest at night. They were a bit distraught.
However, to their immense relief, I've found that 'teaching' Izotope RX's spectral de-noise module on the quiet bits and doing two passes cleans it up nicely.
A win for AI 🤷♂️ 😊
@DyDave thus illustrating the difference between AI as tool and AI as generative. I'm all for it being useful tool like that, but generative AI... hard pass
